THE WALL THAT HEALS IS COMING TO HAWAIIAN GARDENS ON MARCH 22ND, 2023

The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to Hawaiian Gardens, CA on 3/22/2023 to 3/26/2023 at Fedde Middle School and will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community of Hawaiian Gardens and surrounding areas to pay their respects and honor those who served in the Vietnam War.

For those who may not be familiar, The Wall That Heals is a traveling exhibit that brings a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. to communities across the United States. The memorial, which was designed by Maya Lin, was dedicated in 1982 to honor the men and women who served and died in the Vietnam War.

The replica wall is three-quarters the size of the original and stands at 375 feet long. The mobile Education Center that accompanies the wall features displays about the Vietnam War, the wall, and the era surrounding the conflict. It also includes photos and stories of some of the individuals whose names are on the memorial.

The fact that the exhibit will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public provides a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to visit, pay their respects, and learn more about the history of the Vietnam War.
